PODCAST KEY ART

The challenge was to design key art for the podcast that was clearly connected to the show, yet sufficiently distinct to avoid confusion with the series itself.

I repurposed the series' key art to create assets that would represent the podcast across all digital platforms

PODCAST LOOPING GRAPHICS

Recognizing the importance of visual elements for platforms like YouTube, we decided to create looping graphics for the podcast. We started with a seamless loop of title cards from the show, featuring the illustrated atlas, an integral prop in the series.

Overlaying these visuals with type, we aimed to offer an engaging viewing experience while listening to the podcast. With this groundwork laid, Jardley Jean-Louis then continued to develop weekly episode assets.

PODCAST THUMBNAILS

Each episode of the podcast was seen as an opportunity to create a unique visual identity, mirroring the approach taken for the TV show's episodes. We believed that by giving each podcast episode its own distinct thumbnail, we could create a visual draw for potential listeners, making each episode feel special and enhancing discoverability across streaming platforms.

I made the design and photography choices for these images, aiming to capture the essence of each episode and create a suite of thumbnails that were not only visually cohesive but also representative of the podcast's diverse content. These thumbnails were then distributed across all the streaming platforms where the episodes were hosted, providing listeners with a visual snippet of what to expect from each episode.

SOCIAL PROMOTIONS

In collaboration with Justin Donaldson, we leveraged the looping motion graphics created for the episode and created visual social assets to promote audio clips of upcoming episodes. Jardley Jean-Louis and Justin Donaldson executed these assets on a weekly basis.
